CaliVapeKing is a California-based independent vaporizer review site. Every review comes from a unit I purchased personally or borrowed from someone who uses it daily. No brands send me free gear in exchange for coverage. No one has ever paid to appear on this site. The ratings reflect what I actually think after real use — not what a PR budget bought.
I've been a daily dry herb vaper since 2018. Before that I was smoking, which I don't do anymore. The switch to vaping was one of the better decisions I've made, and I got obsessed with the hardware along the way. The Volcano in my house has been running sessions for years. I've owned a Mighty, two Venties, a PAX 3, an Arizer, and more. Most of what I know comes from putting real money into this stuff and figuring out what's actually worth it.
Most vaporizer reviews online are either written by someone who spent a weekend with a press unit, or they're straight affiliate farm content — no opinion, just spec tables and Amazon links. Neither is useful when you're deciding where to spend $200–$700.
I wanted a place that answered the questions I used to have: is this thing actually worth it at the price? How does the vapor feel compared to what I'm using now? What's going to break first? Does the battery actually last? What nobody talks about? That's what I'm trying to build here.
Every review is scored on vapor quality, heat-up time, battery performance, build quality, value for money, and ease of use. The overall score is a weighted average where vapor quality counts for the most — because that's the whole point. A beautiful device that produces thin vapor gets docked accordingly. A chunky device that hits like a Volcano gets credit for what matters.
I don't score in .1 increments to make it look more scientific than it is. Ratings are rounded to the nearest .5 because that's about the precision level that actually reflects real differences between products.
